Gilson Sample Splitter Model SP-1 is to be used for the reduction of test samples that are too large to be conveniently handled. Divides sample so that each half is representative of original total sample. A single splitter handles any material, from sand up to heavy aggregate sizes. The splitter chute, consisting of aluminum or plated steel bars with a locating rod passed through their lower ends, provides wide flexibility in sizes of chute openings.

• Heavy welded steel construction that stands to a convenient loading height.
• Loading hopper holds up to a cubic foot. Lever actuated clamshell hopper opens on center line of splitter chute.
• Material pans (2) slide under each half of splitter chute or a bag loading chute may replace a pan to return half of charge to sample bag.
