A&D Model MF-50 moisture analyzer measures moisture thermogravimetrically.  Thermogravimetric moisture analysis is based on the principles of vaporization of water during the process.  The moisture balance monitors the weight loss of a sample as the material is heated.  The sample weight prior to heating and after reaching a steady-state mass after drying determines the moisture content.  The halogen bulb heats the sample by infrared radiation.
