91-1396-01 Mercury Analyzer, Direct Determination, 110V, 60Hz
DMA-80 Mercury Analyzer, compliant w/ US EPA Method 7473, & w/ ASTM D6722-01 for Coal.
Many laboratories are still using Cold Vapor Atomic Absorption (CVAA) or ICP-MS to perform mercury analysis. Although both of these methodologies have proven effective, they do pose a number of laboratory and environmental challenges. The most important being that they both require costly, laborious sample preparation and generate significant amounts of hazardous waste. Additionally, obtaining accurate and reproducible data can be problematic given mercury’s volatility.
The DMA-80 Direct Mercury Analyzer, as referenced in U.S. EPA Method 7473, employs a sequence of thermal decomposition, gold amalgamation and atomic absorption spectrophotometry, and is an excellent alternative to wet chemistry techniques. By eliminating sample preparation and wet chemistry, the DMA-80 enables the operator to load virtually any sample matrix in the 40-position autosampler, walk away and get results in as little as 6 minutes per sample.
More than 800 laboratories have chosen the DMA-80 making it the undisputed leader in direct mercury analysis.
